I am pleased with the blood results as it highlighted allergies that I knew I already had since a young child (increasing the validity) and also new food allergies that I did not know I had.
I am looking forward to eliminating these foods from my diet!

Foods eliminated
I have eliminated the foods that you recommended and have been thrilled to add back some foods that I previously thought were problems for me.
I feel so much better! I have recommended your testing to many people. Thank you!

Happy mum
My mother has been having some stomach issues and wanted to find out exactly what was wrong, the doctors couldn’t tell her.
Now my mom can make those subtle food changes and have a much happier stomach and not be questioning everything she eats!

Frequently asked questions
Allergy & Intolerance Testing
Allergies
An allergy is an immune system response. It is caused when the body mistakes a protein as a harmful substance and creates a defence system (antibodies) to fight it.
Allergic reactions are immediate reactions, and they can be life-threatening in some cases.
Intolerances
An intolerance is a non-immune system response. Symptoms of intolerance usually occur several hours after exposure to a trigger, whereas an allergy can result in an immediate reaction.
Often people need to be exposed to larger amounts of food types to trigger an intolerance unlike an allergy. A food intolerance is not life-threatening.
We have IgE ELISA food and non-food allergy testing. IgE antibodies are involved in Type I allergies and can cause rapid type immune reactions, with symptoms occurring within a few minutes up to two hours after eating a specific food.
We provide you with easy-to-use lancets designed to give you a tiny prick on the finger to start the blood flow.
It’s precisely the same as a pinprick and, if administered correctly following our provided instructions and tips, will not hurt.
While we allow children from the age of 2 and above for blood allergy and intolerance testing.
There is evidence that allergies are not fully developed until the age of 7. Please check with a medical professional before purchasing.
There are a few types of medication that may stop your test from being accurate.
Immune suppressant medications can also affect the results of the testing, we advise that you check with our team prior to testing regarding medications.
Antihistamines have been shown to affect results; we advise stopping antihistamine use for 3-5 days before taking your sample.
However, we would recommend seeking advice from a medical professional before changing any medication.
Sensitivities include all those reactions to food and non-food items that can activate a non-immune mediated response.
Instead they can be caused by not having the right enzymes you need to digest certain foods or a reaction to food additives or preservatives.
The safest way to take a hair sample is to ask someone else to help you. Using your forefinger and thumb, gather 3 or 4 strands and slightly twist the hair together.
This will make cutting the hair sample much more accessible and keep all the hair strand in the same direction.
Try to cut the hair sample as close to the scalp as possible, using one cut. If you do not have anyone to help you, using a mirror may help ensure you avoid injury.
Once you have purchased our test you will receive an email to submit your details digitally online.
We try to keep our costs as low as possible (by not sending out physical hair testing kits) so that we can offer such a comprehensive test at the price offered.
Blood and DNA kits are sent out to the address provided at the time of purchase, with tracked Royal Mail post.
The hair sample does not have to be from the head, we can test hair from any part of the body, including leg, arm or chest.
The test is completed on the hair sample composition so that no hair processing will not affect the result. However, if you would like, you can provide hair from elsewhere on the body.
Children can complete a hair sensitivity test once they reach five years old due to their immune system changes and the importance of eating a varied diet.
Infants have not yet built up their tolerance levels to items, highlighting false positives in their test results.
However, it is up to the parents or guardians if they would still like to proceed knowing this.
If you’ve purchased one of the sensitivity tests, you will have to pay the postage cost back to the processing centre, which then sends the sample to the UK.
